Job summary

Leidos seeks a Network Engineer to support DISA-provided GIG services in the 24x7 DGOC, with operations at Scott AFB, IL. You will configure circuits, analyze SATCOM links, and coordinate with NOCs to maintain maximum uptime.

Required are a DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification, a BS degree with 2–4 years of experience (or an MS with less experience), and an active DoD Secret clearance. Strong SATCOM fundamentals are essential.

Qualifications

• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) required.
• BS degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience or MS with less than 2 years experience.
• Able to work in a 24x7 shift work environment.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance.
• General understanding of SATCOM and networking principles.

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations across SATCOM circuits at gateways and terminals.
• Perform real-time circuit redesign (alternate routing) to restore connectivity during outages.
• Collaborate with customers and engineers across other NOCs to maximize network availability.
• Perform change management including hardware replacement and software configurations.
• Proactively monitor network alarms using platform management tools.
• Document outages, degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions in incident management systems.
• Assess and resolve incidents leveraging routers, switches, crypto devices, and related tech.
