Job summary

You will perform SATCOM analysis, evaluation and recommendations on communications architectures and Army initiatives to support HQDA G-6’s G-65X SATCOM Branch with modernization oversight. Qualifications

• Security clearance: Secret (eligible for TS/SCI)
• 10 years of communications experience with at least 5 years in SATCOM
• US Citizenship required for clearance
• Knowledge of SATCOM architectures, engineering, design and analysis

Responsibilities

• Participate in weekly SATCOM stakeholder calls and meetings at multiple locations.
• Prepare leadership for meetings and assist in configuration control boards.
• Assist in testing and assessments forProtected band and Wideband satellite systems.
• Conduct RF link budget, antenna performance, and RF systems analyses.
• Provide executive summaries for key meetings.

Job Summary

We are seeking a SATCOM Analyst SME to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for SATCOM analysis, evaluation and recommendations on communications architectures and Army initiatives. You will play a key part in supporting the HQDA G-6’s G-65X’s SATCOM Branch with oversight of Total Army C4 modernization and assist with SATCOM as a managed service. Advise Senior Army G-6 leadership on strategy formulation and implementation to enable the Army’s conduct of global Multi-Domain Operations through continuous transformation of the Unified Network.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in weekly: SATCOM Stakeholder’s all Army calls, SATCOM Branch, Division level meetings, SMART-T and Protected band working groups by MS Teams and at Colorado Springs, Colorado.
• Prepare leadership to attend the USSF Enterprise Satellite Communication Steering Group (ESC-SG). Assist and in the quarterly DISA led Configuration Control Boards (CCB).
• Assist in testing to support development and operational missions as they pertain to operations over the Protected band as the primary mission and Wideband satellite constellations as an back-up duty. Provide assessments and recommendations to satisfy needs of maintaining and enhancing the Military SATCOM Systems.
• Performs complex and comprehensive studies on systems including Protected bands including Advanced EHF (AEHF), Evolved Strategic Satellite (ESS) and emerging Protected Anti-jam capabilities for the Army.
• Provide Executive Summaries and Information Papes when required for key meetings.

Qualifications

Required:

• Security Clearance: Secret (must be eligible for TS/SCI)
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Communications Systems, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field.
• 10 Years of Communications Experience/at least 5 years in Satellite Communications
• Good oral, briefing and written communications required.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office is required (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
• Experience dealing with multiple stakeholder organizations in a Working Group environment
• Understanding of ETMS2 (Tasking Tracking System)
• Candidate must be a US Citizen in order to obtain and maintain an interim and final security clearance.
• Knowledge of SATCOM systems architecture, engineering, design, and analysis as it applies to Protected, Wideband Satellite and Commercial SATCOM systems.

Examples of required areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: Radio Frequency (RF) link budget and link margin calculations for both military and commercial SATCOM systems; antenna performance and efficiency analysis; Effective Isotropic Radiated Power, G/T, and link impairment calculations; Earth Terminal architecture and RF systems engineering; satellite architecture and communications performance; operations in degraded communications environments (weather, scintillation, and interference).

• Master’s degree preferred .
