Job summary

The West Virginia Department of Education seeks a SAT (Student Assistance Team) Coordinator at Pineville Elementary School in Wyoming County. Qualifications

• A valid WV Teacher Certification, Licensure, and/or Both.
• Demonstrates qualifications further detailed in job description.
• Knowledge of the community, school and enrolled students is critical; preference given to school counselor, administrators, or current faculty at the school.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and organize SAT meetings with at risk students, parents, and school personnel.
• Provide guidance to SAT on facilitating effective meetings, reviewing data, and recommending interventions.
• Support principals and teachers in delivering instructional and behavioral interventions and documenting outcomes.
• Assist SAT members, principals, and parents in understanding data used for student referral.
• Schedule SAT Meetings and notify members and parents of meetings.
• Maintain the official records of SAT meetings and outcomes.
• Assist teachers with SAT meeting preparation and outcomes.
• Coordinate with outside agencies and administrators as needed.
• Facilitate team interaction at SAT meetings.
• Summarize discussions and decisions.
• Maintain a SAT log for all meetings.
• Other duties as assigned by the school principal.
