Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced SAP Testing Lead to drive end-to-end testing strategy for a large SAP transformation. You will serve as the primary liaison between the System Integrator and business, ensuring testing activities are planned, executed, tracked, and communicated throughout the project lifecycle.

The role covers Unit, SIT, UAT, Regression, and Go-Live Validation, with responsibility for governance, defect management, and readiness for production deployment.

Qualifications

• Recent experience leading SAP testing for large ERP transformations.
• Experience delivering testing for SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, or RISE with SAP programs.
• Strong stakeholder and executive communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage System Integrators and implementation partners.

Responsibilities

• Own the SAP testing strategy, governance structure, and execution plan.
• Lead all testing phases: Unit, SIT, UAT, Regression, and Go-Live Validation.
• Coordinate testing across business, SAP workstreams, technical teams, and vendors.
• Define entry/exit criteria for each testing phase.
• Establish defect management and triage processes.
• Monitor testing progress and readiness for production deployment.
• Represent testing to SI and hold them accountable for deliverables and quality.
• Review and validate SI test plans, scripts, results, and remediation efforts.
• Ensure best practices across SAP workstreams.
• Communicate testing status to leadership and stakeholders.
• Translate testing issues into business impacts and risk.
• Coordinate UAT activities with process owners for signoffs.
• Identify risks early and implement mitigations.
• Develop dashboards to report quality and readiness.

We are seeking an experienced SAP Testing Lead to drive the end-to-end testing strategy for a large-scale SAP transformation program. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between the System Integrator (SI) and the business, ensuring all testing activities are properly planned, executed, tracked, and communicated throughout the project lifecycle.

The SAP Testing Lead will be responsible for managing testing cycles including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing. The ideal candidate will possess strong SAP program delivery experience, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate testing progress, risks, and readiness to both technical and business audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Testing Leadership

• Own the overall SAP testing strategy, governance structure, and testing execution plan.
• Lead all testing phases including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and Go-Live Validation.
• Coordinate testing activities across business teams, SAP functional workstreams, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
• Define testing entry and exit criteria for each phase.
• Establish defect management processes and oversee defect triage meetings.
• Monitor testing progress, execution metrics, and overall readiness for production deployment.

System Integrator (SI) Management

• Serve as the primary testing representative between the company and the System Integrator.
• Hold the SI accountable for testing deliverables, timelines, defect resolution, and quality standards.
• Review and validate test plans, test scripts, test results, and defect remediation efforts provided by the SI.
• Ensure testing best practices are consistently followed across all SAP workstreams.

Stakeholder Communication & Business Engagement

• Act as the central point of contact for testing-related communications.
• Provide regular updates to program leadership, business stakeholders, PMO, and executive sponsors.
• Translate technical testing issues into business impacts and risks.
• Facilitate stakeholder decision-making regarding testing readiness, defect prioritization, and go-live recommendations.
• Partner with business process owners to coordinate UAT activities, user participation, and signoff processes.

Quality & Risk Management

• Identify testing risks, gaps, and dependencies early and implement mitigation plans.
• Drive issue resolution across technical and business teams.
• Develop testing dashboards and status reporting to provide visibility into quality and readiness metrics.
• Support cutover planning, production readiness assessments, and go-live decision-making.
