Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. seeks a qualified mental health professional to support at-risk students in the school setting. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, diagnostic assessments, and individual/group/family therapy across SAP locations.

Remote outpatient therapy is allocated 8 hours weekly within licensed sites. Responsibilities extend to substance abuse screenings, trauma screenings, psychiatric evaluations, and medication monitoring, with opportunities for professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field from an accredited school.
• Master’s degree and licensure are preferred.
• Able to perform diagnostic bio-psycho-social assessments and multiple therapy modalities.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and supportive services in school and SAP settings.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments and therapy with children and adults.
• Screen for substance use, trauma exposure, and domestic violence as part of evaluations.
• Coordinate with district SAP teams and external resources.

Job description

Purpose of this position:Provide services to students-at-risk in the school setting including, but not limited to: support, crisis intervention, linking with resources, and stabilization. This position also incorporates involvement with the district’s S.A.P. Teams in the role of mental health consultant. 20% (8 hrs.) of the employee’s time shall be designated to remote outpatient therapy at licensed sites within the SAP locations. The SAP & School Counselor will perform diagnostic bio-psycho social assessments, individual, group and family therapy, substance abuse screenings, trauma exposure screenings, domestic violence screenings, psychiatric evaluations, psychological evaluations, medication assessments and medication monitoring.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Knowledge of professional casework principles, practices, and methodologyKnowledge of individual and group dynamicsUtilization of a variety of modalities and techniques to address the needs of each client and their familyPerform mental health clinical intake assessments on children and adultsChildren’s Service Center/Robinson Counseling Center for adults creates a positive working culture of Care and Commitment for employees which extends to the children & families we serve.
