Overview

Insight Global is seeking a Senior SAP S/4HANA Developer for a large natural-gas distributor in Dallas, Texas. This role leads SAP initiatives and drives the transition from Oracle EBS to SAP Asset Management as part of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) project. This individual will oversee full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations and provide technical leadership. The role combines hands-on development in ABAP and advanced data modeling with strategic responsibilities such as stakeholder engagement and process optimization. You’ll work closely with business and technical teams to configure functional SAP modules and asset management processes, ensure compliance, and deliver integrated solutions that support maintenance planning and asset lifecycle management. This is a highly visible role requiring strong leadership, deep SAP expertise, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP S/4HANA implementations and related initiatives as part of the EAM project.
• Provide technical leadership in ABAP development and advanced data modeling.
• Engage with stakeholders and coordinate across business and IT teams.
• Configure functional SAP modules and asset management processes.
• Ensure compliance and deliver integrated solutions for maintenance planning and asset lifecycle management.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of SAP experience with proven leadership and stakeholder engagement
• SAP S/4HANA experience and deep understanding of its architecture
• Advanced proficiency in SAP ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP, including debugging and optimization
• Hands-on experience with CDS Views and advanced data modeling
• Creating and optimizing composite views
• Using annotations for UI, analytics, and authorization
• Integrating CDS Views with OData services for Fiori apps
• Excellent communication skills; self-starter with ability to work independently

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Basic understanding of Snowflake pipelines and data models
• Integration experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and SAP BTP
• Familiarity with IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData, and SAP Event Mesh
• Strong working knowledge of SQL, Linux/Unix, and scripting
• Strong troubleshooting skills across network, hardware, application, and database layers
• Strong functional expertise in SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) and asset management processes
