A leading consultancy firm is seeking an SAP Enterprise Consultant specializing in SAP S/4HANA. The role involves defining and governing enterprise architecture for utility operations, leading solution design, and collaborating with various teams to ensure implementation integrity. Candidates should have over 10 years of SAP experience and proven expertise in SAP S/4HANA implementations. This is a contract position with an in-office requirement in Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP experience, including as an SAP Enterprise Architect.
• Proven experience in delivering end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Strong knowledge of utility industry processes.
• Strong knowledge of utility industry processes (IS-U, billing, asset management).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern SAP S/4HANA enterprise architecture.
• Lead solution architecture design across SAP landscapes.
• Collaborate with various teams for solution integrity.
• Provide architectural leadership across SAP modules including FI/CO, MM, SD, PM/EAM, and SAP IS-U / S/4HANA Utilities.
• Guide ECC to S/4HANA transformation strategies (greenfield, brownfield, hybrid).
• Drive modernization initiatives leveraging SAP BTP, cloud, and hybrid architectures.
• Establish and enforce architecture standards, governance models, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with business, IT, cybersecurity, and risk teams to ensure solution integrity and resilience.
• Oversee SAP vendors and Managed Services partners, ensuring adherence to standards and SLAs.
• Support the Enterprise Architecture team within the Utilities domain with end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.

Position : SAP Enterprise Consultant - SAP S/4HANA

Type of Hire : Contract

Duration : 6 months, potential for extension

Location : Houston, TX (No Remote). In-Office Expectation: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote

Responsibilities

• Define, maintain, and govern SAP S/4HANA enterprise architecture for utility operations.
• Develop and manage multi-year SAP roadmaps aligned with business and EA standards.
• Lead end-to-end solution architecture design across SAP S/4HANA landscapes.
• Provide architectural leadership across SAP modules including FI/CO, MM, SD, PM/EAM, and SAP IS-U / S/4HANA Utilities.
• Guide ECC to S/4HANA transformation strategies (greenfield, brownfield, hybrid).
• Drive modernization initiatives leveraging SAP BTP, cloud, and hybrid architectures.
• Establish and enforce architecture standards, governance models, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with business, IT, cybersecurity, and risk teams to ensure solution integrity and resilience. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on SAP strategy and architectural decisions. Oversee SAP vendors and Managed Services partners, ensuring adherence to standards and SLAs.
• Support the Enterprise Architecture team within the Utilities domain (Electric, Gas, and/or Water) with end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation experience and managed services exposure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP experience, including experience as an SAP Enterprise Architect.
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Experience supporting Managed Services and large enterprise SAP landscapes.
• Strong knowledge of utility industry processes (asset management, billing, customer service, regulatory reporting).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Preferred: SAP Certified Technology Professional - System Security Architect (or equivalent).
• Preferred: SAP S/4HANA Architecture and/or SAP Utilities certifications.
