Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP MES Integration Manager to lead end-to-end MES integration projects connecting SAP ERP/S/4HANA with MES platforms and shop-floor systems. You will work with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and IT teams to design reliable end-to-end processes from production planning to execution.

The role requires 4–6 years of SAP-enabled MES delivery, strong production execution knowledge, and hands-on integration experience with PP/PP-PI, QM, MM, EWM, PM. Travel 40–60% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, information systems, supply chain, manufacturing, or related discipline.
• Typically, no less than 4-6 years delivering SAP-enabled MES solutions with at least one full lifecycle implementation or major rollout.
• Strong functional knowledge of production execution in discrete, repetitive, or process manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience integrating SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP with PP/PP-PI and related modules (QM, MM, EWM, PM).
• Experience with SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP ME/MII, or leading MES platforms (Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell, Ignition, Plex, PTC).
• Willingness to travel 40-60%.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops to assess current manufacturing processes and MES capabilities.
• Translate requirements into scalable functional and technical designs.
• Design end-to-end integration between SAP ERP/S/4HANA and MES applications.
• Configure and support inbound/outbound production transactions.
• Define interface architecture using SAP Integration Suite, API, and IDocs.
• Integrate MES with shop-floor systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve dependencies.
• Prepare process flows, architecture, specifications, test scripts, and deployment plans.
• Plan and execute testing; manage defects to closure.
• Support cutover, data readiness, go-live, and hypercare.
• Troubleshoot interface failures and production disruptions with root-cause analysis.
• Apply security, data integrity, and regulated-manufacturing requirements.
• Mentor junior consultants and coordinate delivery teams.
• Identify opportunities to standardize processes and accelerate multi-site rollout.
