Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP MES Integration Manager to lead design, configuration, integration, testing, and deployment of MES solutions connecting SAP ERP/S4HANA with SAP Digital Manufacturing and third-party MES platforms.

You will partner with manufacturing, supply chain, QA, automation, and IT teams to create end-to-end processes from planning to shop-floor execution, ensuring reliability and traceability across production operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, supply chain, manufacturing, or related discipline.
• Typically 4–6 years of experience delivering SAP-enabled manufacturing or MES solutions, incl. at least one full lifecycle implementation or major rollout.
• Strong knowledge of production execution in discrete, repetitive, or process manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience integrating SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP with SAP PP/PP-PI and related modules.
• Experience with SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP ME/MII, or leading MES such as Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Ignition, Plex, or PTC.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops to assess current manufacturing processes and MES integration needs.
• Translate requirements into scalable functional and technical designs for SAP MES integrations.
• Design end-to-end integration between SAP ERP/S4HANA and MES platforms.
• Configure inbound/outbound production transactions (order release, confirmations, goods movements, quality data).
• Define interface architecture using SAP Integration Suite, APIs, OData, IDocs, web services, and edge connectivity.
• Integrate MES with shop-floor systems and equipment (PLCs, SCADA, DCS, sensors, and industrial IoT).
• Collaborate with SAP modules to resolve cross-functional dependencies (PP, QM, MM, EWM, PM).
• Prepare process flows, specs, interface mappings, test scripts, deployment plans, and training materials.
• Plan and execute testing (unit, integration, regression, performance) and manage defects.
• Support go-live, data readiness, mock deployments, hypercare, and transition to support teams.
• Troubleshoot interface failures, data inconsistencies, and production disruptions.
• Apply security, data integrity, auditability, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior consultants and coordinate distributed delivery teams.
• Identify opportunities to standardize plant processes and accelerate multi-site rollouts.
