Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Reporting & Analytics Senior Consultant to translate utility business questions into accurate reports and analytics. You will own requirements, data validation, and functional testing, partnering with data and technical teams to deliver trusted information across SAP IS-U and related systems.

You will collaborate with SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud, ensuring alignment with architecture and end-to-end utility processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Typically 4–6 years of SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
• Experience supporting reporting requirements, report definitions, functional specifications, testing, reconciliation, and stakeholder review for SAP IS-U or connected utility systems.
• Understanding of meter-to-cash processes and dependencies among SAP IS-U functions, analytics platforms, source systems, and downstream applications.
• Experience preparing functional documentation and working with business users, data teams, technical teams, and project stakeholders.
• Ability to translate business questions into precise measures, report specifications, testable logic, and user-focused outputs.
• Working knowledge of SAP IS-U data and analytics environments such as SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Datasphere, or SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Experience supporting user acceptance testing, defect resolution, deployment readiness, production support, and data-quality investigation.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Travel up to 40-60%.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and document reporting requirements for utility operations, customer service, billing, FI-CA, Retail Choice, device and work management, regulatory needs, and management oversight.
• Translate business measures into report specifications, definitions, filters, drill-downs, formats, reconciliation rules, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze SAP IS-U source data and process dependencies to ensure report logic aligns with approved definitions and end-to-end utility processes.
• Collaborate with SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, ABAP, and other teams to design and implement reports and analytics.
• Support delivery of operational extracts, queries, dashboards, exception reports, and management information across SAP IS-U and connected systems.
• Create test cases and expected results; validate totals, samples, access controls, and reconciliation against SAP source transactions.
• Investigate reporting discrepancies, data-quality issues, and cross-system dependencies with process/technical owners.
• Maintain report documentation, data definitions, lineage notes, and user guidance; assist with user acceptance testing, deployment readiness, and production support.
• Manage deliverables, dependencies, risks, and priorities; communicate status to client and project stakeholders.
• Provide knowledge transfer and functional guidance to client teams and junior project members.
