ConglomerateIT is seeking an experienced SAP HANA Technical Project Manager for a 12+ month contract in the Plano, TX area. You will lead complex SAP HANA/S/4HANA initiatives, coordinating between business stakeholders, SAP technical teams, and global delivery units.

Qualifications

• 15+ years IT experience with substantial SAP projects.
• Strong SAP HANA and/or SAP S/4HANA expertise.
• Experience leading SAP implementations, migrations, upgrades, or transformations.
• Understanding of SAP HANA architecture, database concepts, SAP Basis, ABAP, integrations, and data migration.
• Experience moving from ECC to S/4HANA is highly preferred.
• Requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and translation to technical specs.
• Experience in SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP HANA/S/4HANA implementation, migration, upgrade, and transformation projects.
• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and technical requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and coordinate with SAP teams.
• Manage project planning, timelines, estimates, resource allocation, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across SAP HANA, Basis, ABAP, functional, integration, infrastructure, security, data migration, and testing.
• Provide technical leadership during solution design, architecture reviews, and implementation decisions.
• Oversee data migration, system conversion, integrations, testing, cutover, deployment, go-live, and hypercare.
• Review technical designs, implementation plans, estimates, and project deliverables for quality.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA Technical Project Manager with 15+ years of IT experience to lead complex SAP HANA/S/4HANA implementation, migration, upgrade, and transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will combine strong SAP technical knowledge with project management, requirements gathering, solution coordination, technical troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, SAP technical teams, and cross-functional delivery teams to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP HANA/S/4HANA implementation, migration, upgrade, and transformation projects.
• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and technical requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and coordinate with SAP functional and technical teams.
• Manage project planning, timelines, estimates, resource allocation, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across SAP HANA, Basis, ABAP, functional, integration, infrastructure, security, data migration, and testing.
• Provide technical leadership during solution design, architecture reviews, and implementation decisions.
• Oversee data migration, system conversion, integrations, testing, cutover, deployment, go-live, and hypercare activities.
• Review technical designs, implementation plans, estimates, and project deliverables for quality and alignment with requirements.
• Identify and manage technical risks, issues, dependencies, defects, and change requests.
• Coordinate troubleshooting of SAP HANA database, performance, integration, data, and application-related issues.
• Oversee SIT, UAT, performance testing, cutover rehearsals, production deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Collaborate with business users to clarify requirements and ensure technical solutions meet business objectives.
• Coordinate with SAP, system integrators, vendors, infrastructure teams, and onshore/offshore delivery teams.
• Prepare project status reports, RAID logs, technical updates, and executive-level communications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 15+ years of overall IT experience, including substantial SAP project experience.
• Strong technical expertise in SAP HANA and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Proven experience leading SAP implementation, migration, upgrade, conversion, or transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of SAP HANA architecture, database concepts, SAP Basis, ABAP, integrations, and data migration.
• Experience with ECC to S/4HANA migration or conversion is highly preferred.
• Strong requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and business-to-technical translation skills.
• Experience managing system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience leading cross-functional and global onshore/offshore teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, coordination, and leadership skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology.
• Experience with SAP BTP, Integration Suite, or CPI.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 and SAP BW/4HANA.
• Experience in HANA performance tuning and optimization.
• Exposure to SAP RISE and cloud migration initiatives.
• Knowledge of REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, and RFC integrations.
• PMP certification and/or relevant SAP certifications.
