Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners is seeking a Senior SAP Project Coordinator / Associate Project Manager for a remote, 6‑month contract, with about 8 hours per day. This is a full‑time engagement that supports global project activity.

The role coordinates SAP projects through all phases, manages plans, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications, and liaises with cross‑functional teams worldwide. S/4HANA and SAP ECC experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in IS / CS / Business or related field.
• 8 years of project coordination/PMO experience in enterprise IT.
• 5 years supporting SAP projects, preferably SAP ECC.
• Strong understanding of SAP business processes and ERP lifecycles.
• Experience with MS Project, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow or Smartsheet.
• Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid delivery methods.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience coordinating geographically dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate SAP projects through all lifecycle phases from initiation to deployment and hypercare.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource plans.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, issues, dependencies, and resource constraints.
• Lead status meetings, governance reviews, steering committee updates, and stakeholder communications.
• Maintain documentation, RAID logs, dashboards, executive reporting, and KPI tracking.
• Ensure adherence to PMO standards and governance processes.
• Monitor budgets, resource allocation, and overall project health.
• Provide guidance on governance practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as liaison between business stakeholders, SAP teams, and leadership.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities across global teams.
• Manage action items, dependencies, decisions, and issue resolution.
• Support change management, readiness, training, deployment planning, and communications.
• Coordinate activities across multiple business units, locations, and time zones.

Senior SAP Project Coordinator / Associate Project Manager/Remote/Contract

Position Overview

This is a full-time engagement with an expectation of approximately 8 working hours per day. As our SAP projects are implemented across the geographies in which we operate worldwide, candidates must be flexible in supporting working hours that align with the country or countries where active project implementation, testing, cutover, or deployment activities are occurring. Occasional overlap with global teams outside the candidate’s local time zone may be required.

Key Responsibilities Project Planning, Delivery & Governance

• Coordinate SAP projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation through deployment and hypercare.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource plans.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, issues, dependencies, and resource constraints.
• Lead project status meetings, governance reviews, steering committee updates, and stakeholder communications.
• Maintain project documentation, RAID logs, dashboards, executive reporting, and KPI tracking.

Stakeholder & Team Coordination

• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, technical teams, system integrators, and leadership.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities and ensure alignment across global project teams.
• Manage action items, dependencies, decision logs, and issue resolution activities.
• Support organizational change management, business readiness, training, deployment planning, and communications.
• Coordinate activities across multiple business units, locations, and time zones.

SAP Program Support

• Support SAP ECC enhancement projects, integrations, upgrades, and business transformation initiatives.
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA assessment, migration, implementation, and rollout programs.
• Coordinate testing cycles, defect management, cutover planning, deployment activities, and post-go-live support.
• Support vendor management and third-party partner coordination.
• Assist project teams in ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8 years of project coordination, project management, or PMO experience within enterprise IT environments.
• 5 years supporting SAP projects, preferably in SAP ECC environments.
• Strong understanding of SAP business processes and ERP implementation lifecycles.
• Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and priorities.
• Experience coordinating geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, upgrade, or transformation programs.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification.
• Experience supporting system integration, data migration, testing, cutover, and deployment activities.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology.
• Experience working with global delivery teams and system integration partners.
