Job summary

Staffingine LLC seeks an SAP Functional Lead for a Chicago-based contract engagement. The role emphasizes hands-on configuration across PP and QM, with strong emphasis on coordinating OTC/PTP, and understanding WM/RF-enabled warehouse operations.

Ideal candidates have S/4HANA implementation experience and exposure to IBP, plus experience in consumer products or regulated manufacturing. The candidate will align with Blistex plant and supply chain stakeholders, support Hypercare, and drive triage

Qualifications

Job Title: SAP Functional Lead

Job Description

• Strong hands-on configuration and support experience in PP and QM - this is the highest-risk area given the primary plant plus 7 contract manufacturing partners
• Working knowledge of OTC (sales orders, credit management, product allocation) and PTP (POs, STOs, source lists, AP) sufficient to triage and direct L2 resolution
• Familiarity with WM/RF-enabled warehouse operations - enough to understand how a functional issue cascades into physical warehouse execution
• Exposure to SAP IBP (demand sensing, consensus planning) so they can translate planning issues between S/4 and IBP teams
• At least 2 3 full life-cycle S/4HANA implementations or major AMS engagements, ideally in consumer products/CPG or regulated manufacturing

Manufacturing & Industry Context

• Understanding of make-to-stock/contract manufacturing models, quality release gating, and batch/lot management
• Familiarity with 3PL-integrated warehouse processes (Canada/UK) and how they differ from in-house warehouse ops
• Comfort working alongside PPDS scheduling logic even if a specialist owns it day-to-day

Integration Awareness (not deep expertise, but fluency)

• Enough understanding of how CPI/EDI interfaces tie into OTC/PTP processes to have an informed conversation with the Integration Lead rather than treating every issue as "someone else's problem"
• Ability to read an interface/IDoc error and know whether it's a functional master-data issue or a technical integration issue

RISE with SAP / Operating Model Literacy

• Clear understanding of the application vs. platform boundary under RISE, so they don't chase issues that belong to SAP
• Comfortable operating in a Hypercare Stabilization Steady State rhythm, including daily P1/P2 triage cadence

Soft Skills / Onsite-Specific

• Strong stakeholder-facing communication - this person is the face of the AMS team to Blistex's plant, planning, and supply chain leads
• Ability to make triage judgment calls quickly during Hypercare without waiting for escalation
• Experience acting as an escalation owner - someone L2 consultants can lean on, and who knows when to pull in L3 or the specialist pool
• Familiarity with ITIL-based incident/problem management practices
