Job summary

PlanIT Group is actively seeking an experienced SAP Developer to support multiple SAP modules (S/4HANA, MRP, MM, WM, TM, CSO, GTS, PPDS) and SAP S/4HANA enhancements. You will design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions across PLMSI, PEO, and other workstreams, leading technical discussions and mentoring teammates.

The role emphasizes delivering high-quality applications, maintaining code quality, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business results and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven SAP design and development experience in SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP Development and RAP.
• Experience with Fiori Elements annotations and metadata extensions, not just UI5.

Responsibilities

• Owning how data is being sent/received.
• Supporting proofs of concept with feasible, sustainable code while minimizing technical debt.
• Sizing and scoping activities for identified RICEWF requirements.
• Reviewing functional/technical specifications for quality and scalability.
• Collaborating with middleware to optimize system interfaces.
• Working with Plan-To-Stock IT developers on complex design decisions and evaluations.

The 1LMX ERP Production Operations IT Team is specifically transforming Lockheed Martin businesses using the latest SAP S/4HANA ERP systems to drive to a common set of streamlined processes and deliver results for our customers. Within this initiative, we are hiring an experienced SAP Developer to support our various scrum teams: Product Lifecycle Management System Integration (PLMSI), Production Engineering Optimization/Operations (PEO), production planning and dynamic/detailed scheduling (PPDS), Transportation Management (TM) and Delivery (T&D), Customer Sell-Off (CSO), Warehouse Management (WM), Inventory Management (IM), Material Master/Management (MM), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Master Schedule/Demand Management (MS/DM), Global Trade Services (GTS), etc.

You will support the Plan-to-Stock Value Stream. Your responsibilities are based on a broad knowledge of IT and include, but are not limited to the following:

• Owning HOW data is being sent/received
• Supporting proof of concepts, ensuring proposed code changes are both feasible and sustainable while minimizing technical debt in all designs
• Supporting and subsequently executing software development scoping, sizing activities for identified RICEWF requirements
• Reviewing functional and technical specifications for quality, programmability and ensuring a scalable approach
• Working with middleware on how to optimally make multiple systems interface with one another using the best technical approach
• Collaborating with other Plan-To-Stock (PTS) IT developers with complex design decisions, product evaluations, or other technical obstacles
• Collaborating with partner technology teams to accomplish goals

Basic Qualifications:

• Proven SAP design and development experience in SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA systems (S/4HANA embedded analytics and reporting using CDS analytical views, annotations, and KPI/query exposure)
• * Technical expert in MS/DM
• BRF+ for rules-driven decisions, validations, and workflow logic
• Fiori Elements annotations and metadata extensions, not just custom UI5
• Background processing: jobs, application logs, error handling/reprocessing frameworks
• Master data governance and replication concepts, especially BP/customer/vendor/material-related data
• Knowledge in Network, Sales Order, Complex Assembly and PIR
• Experience with large scale implementations
• Experience with ABAP Development
• Experience with SAP design and development
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead collaborative work

Desired Skills:

• Authorization concepts: CDS DCL, SU24/PFCG integration, authorization checks in ABAP/RAP
• Debugging/performance: SAT/ST05, SQL Monitor, ATC, runtime analysis, CDS performance tuning
• Transport/change management: ChaRM/SolMan, retrofit awareness, release sequencing
• Testing skills: ABAP Unit, test doubles, OData testing, regression support
• BTP integration awareness: SAP Integration Suite/CPI, destinations, cloud connector, side-by-side extensions
• Proven SAP design and development experience in SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA systems
• First-hand Experience with classic SAP tools/skills such as Restful ABAP (RAP), ABAP Development Tools (ADT), ALV, Adobe Forms, ALE/IDOC, RFC/BAPI,BADI/enhancements, Workflow, LSMW/LTMC, CDS Views (Table Functions, Virtual Elements), AMDP, AIF, DRF
• Exposure to working with SAP tools/skills such as Fiori Launchpad and Fiori Elements, SAPUI5, Javascript, GIT, WebIDE/Client and other SAP technologies
• Experience with integrations using SOAP via SOA Manager, ODATA, IDOCs and Proxys
• Focused-build experience
• RF screen development
