Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a SAP data mapping and functional consultant to lead legacy HR and payroll data analysis and source-to-target mappings for SAP HCM Payroll and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).

You will collaborate with payroll, data conversion, and testing teams to ensure transformed data quality, perform iterative validation, and support data readiness for testing and production cutover.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with SAP HCM Payroll and/or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
• Deep understanding of SAP HCM/ECP payroll data structures, fields, and foundational logic.
• Experience supporting data mapping and conversion activities for SAP HCM or SAP ECP implementations.
• Ability to interpret legacy HR/payroll data and determine proper representation within SAP.
• Experience defining data transformations, mapping rules, and conversion requirements.
• Hands-on experience validating converted data and resolving data discrepancies.
• Understanding of employee/master data dependencies on payroll results.

Responsibilities

• Analyze legacy HR and payroll data, mapping source fields to SAP ECP structures.
• Develop, maintain and document source-to-target mapping specifications.
• Collaborate with legacy system SMEs to understand data definitions and rules.
• Apply L HCM/ECP knowledge to determine target structures and values.
• Define transformations, mappings, defaulting logic, and conversion rules.
• Identify data quality issues and areas needing business decisions.
• Maintain traceability of mapping decisions and outstanding issues.
• Partner with data conversion developers to implement conversion logic.
• Review and validate converted data within SAP ECP during cycles.
• Perform functional validation of employee and payroll data against mappings.
• Analyze discrepancies and determine root causes across data and mappings.
• Support data reconciliation and readiness for testing and cutover.
• Update specifications as requirements evolve.
