Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Manager, Information Technology to lead initiatives delivering innovative technology solutions that support growth and operational efficiency. You will guide SAP Analytics, drive governance, and collaborate across business units to align IT with strategic goals.

You will oversee a team, manage projects, and communicate progress to leadership. Relocation package available.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 5+ years of relevant IT experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of IT software and systems delivery lifecycle from design through deployment and support.
Experience in SAP Finance and Accounting environment with a focus on Record to Report and BW/BPC analytics and reporting.
2+ years of leadership/management or project leadership experience in a matrix environment.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess system capabilities and improvements.
Financial systems knowledge including GL, CO, Profit Center, AR, AP, FA, Treasury, Tax, Blackline, Basware, HighRadius, Consolidations, and Financial Reporting, with cross-functional SD & Operations integrations.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across peers, cross-functional teams, and leadership.
Hands-on project management to prioritize initiatives, allocate resources, and deliver on time.
Team-oriented leadership and positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

Oversee the SAP Analytics team, managing day-to-day support and driving process improvements.
Build trusted relationships with internal and external partners and guide analytics framework and reporting.
Ensure analytics are governed by documented protocols and procedures.
Partner with teams to ensure systems are stable, interfaced, and changes tested and released as required.
Provide regular updates on open requests and system performance issues, coordinating resources accordingly.
Drive process improvement with metrics and reporting automation (PowerBI).
Lead incident response during outages, coordinating resolution and communicating impacts.
Apply project management discipline to prioritize workstreams and report to leadership.
Collaborate on annual IT plans aligning business goals with application support across portfolios.
