Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain technology solutions that support business operations across the enterprise. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, integrate, and enhance applications and systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and alignment with organizational goals.

You will also serve as a solution architect for our SAP TM application, lead design sessions, troubleshoot production issues, and translate business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 2+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to design effective solutions and troubleshoot technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance software applications that meet business requirements.
• Develop and support integrations between enterprise applications and platforms.
• Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and optimization for applications and systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation using new technologies.
• Document designs, processes, and workflows ensuring IT standards and compliance.
• Support planning and execution of IT initiatives and projects.
