Job summary

Kforce is seeking an entry-level SAP Developer in California to build foundational skills in RAP, SAP BTP, and UI5/Fiori development within BAS, under senior guidance. You will learn App Router security models and cross-functional integration across MM, PP, QM, EWM, and EAM environments while developing Python tooling for testing and automation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and testing OData services using RAP under senior guidance.
• Learn and contribute to UI5/Fiori app development in BAS; start with Smart Controls and UI annotations.
• Shadow App Router configurations; gradually handle configuration tasks.
• Support XSUAA authentication setup and Cloud Connector tasks with supervision.
• Participate in functional walkthroughs of EAM, MM/EWM, PP/QM to build domain knowledge.

This role is ideal for a candidate with strong computer science/engineering fundamentals and solid Python programming skills, who is eager to develop expertise in UI5/Fiori development within SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), under the guidance of senior architects. Over time, the candidate will be trained on App Router security models and functional integration across MM, PP, QM, EWM, and EAM environments. Key Responsibilities:

Requirements

• Mandatory: Working proficiency in Python (core language, scripting, basic OOP in Python)
• Foundational knowledge of ABAP, OOP concepts, and/or exposure to SAP through coursework, internships, or academic projects
• Basic understanding of web technologies (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, REST/OData concepts) is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to learn quickly in a structured mentorship environment
• Good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Nice to Have (not required):

• Academic exposure to SAP BTP, Fiori, or cloud application development
• SAP certifications completed during college (if any)
• Familiarity with popular Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Requests, FastAPI/Flask, or PyTest
• Exposure to AI agent development or frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, MCP-based agent tooling) through coursework, hackathons, or personal projects

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
