Golden Pet Manufacturing in Seward, Nebraska is seeking a Team Leader to oversee sanitation operations, reinforce safety, quality and sanitation practices in a fast-paced food production environment.

The role focuses on mentoring sanitation staff, planning cleaning schedules, maintaining SSOPs and MSS, and ensuring audit readiness through daily hygiene and team coordination across Safety, Production, Maintenance, FSQ, HR and Logistics.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Willing and able to work varying shifts.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to plan work daily, work independently and be a self-starter.
• Ability to work with a team and interact with other departments.
• 1 year of sanitation leadership experience in food manufacturing.
• AS or BS Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or other related degree.

Responsibilities

• Work safely, complying with safety, quality and sanitation policies and report hazards.
• Mentor, train and coach sanitation team members to drive engagement and internal customer service.
• Plan cleaning schedules and allocate resources for changeovers, sanitation weekends and daily activities.
• Enforce SSOPs and MSS; support development of sanitation manuals and cGMP practices.
• Assist in creating schedules to keep the plant audit-ready daily.
• Assist managing chemical and consumable inventory levels.
• Adhere to SOPs, cGMP and 5S; ensure hygiene and housekeeping in a defined area.
• Collaborate across Safety, Production, Maintenance, FSQ, HR and Logistics.

Team Leader

Location: Seward, NE

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Work safely, complying with all safety, quality and sanitation policies and procedures and proactively identify and report potential safety hazards so they can be corrected.


• Assist Sanitation Manager to effectively mentor, train and coach the day and mid-shift sanitation team members to drive engagement, inclusion as well as focus on internal customer service.


• Assist Sanitation Manager to plan cleaning schedules and proper allocation of resources (labor, supplies, equipment and time) while planning and executing for successful changeovers, sanitation weekends and daily activities.


• Enforce sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs) and master sanitation schedule (MSS); support development and maintain the sanitation manual; Understands cGMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of safe and quality product(s).


• Assisting creating and adjusting schedules for employees to prepare the plant to be audit ready every day.


• Assist managing chemical and consumable inventory levels throughout the plant daily.


• Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs), carrying out duties following cGMP and 5S practices, and being responsible for hygiene and housekeeping in a specified work area.


• Work collaboratively and cross functionally with other departments including Safety, Production, Maintenance, FSQ, HR and Logistics.

• Be 18 years of age or older

• Ability to plan work daily, work independently and be a self-starter and a highly motivated individual


• Ability to work with a team and effectively interact with other departments.


• 1 year of sanitation leadership experience in food manufacturing. 2 years of sanitation leadership experience in food manufacturing without preferred education and certifications.


• AS or BS Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or other related degree.


• Certifications for PCQI (Preventative Control Qualified Individual), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) or related Food Safety and Sanitation training courses.
