Job summary

Golden Pet Manufacturing seeks a Team Leader to oversee sanitation shifts, enforce cGMP standards, and coach sanitation staff. You will collaborate with Safety, Production, Maintenance, FSQ and HR to maintain audit readiness and high hygiene standards.

The role requires leadership in a food manufacturing setting, strong planning skills, and a commitment to safety and quality in daily operations. Eligible candidates with related degrees and certifications are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 1 year sanitation leadership experience in food manufacturing.
• AS or BS Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or related degree.
• Certifications for PCQI, HACCP or related Food Safety training.

Responsibilities

• Work safely, complying with safety, quality and sanitation policies and report hazards.
• Assist Sanitation Manager to mentor, train and coach day and mid-shift sanitation team members.
• Assist planning cleaning schedules and allocate resources for changeovers, weekends and daily activities.
• Enforce SSOPs and MSS; support sanitation manual development; understand cGMP practices for safe production.
• Assist in creating and adjusting schedules to keep plant audit-ready daily.
• Assist managing chemical and consumable inventory levels throughout the plant.
• Adhere to SOPs, follow 5S and hygiene practices, maintain housekeeping in assigned area.
• Work with Safety, Production, Maintenance, FSQ, HR and Logistics.

We’re Looking For A(n):

Team Leader

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Work safely, complying with all safety, quality and sanitation policies and procedures and proactively identify and report potential safety hazards so they can be corrected.


• Assist Sanitation Manager to effectively mentor, train and coach the day and mid-shift sanitation team members to drive engagement, inclusion as well as focus on internal customer service.


• Assist Sanitation Manager to plan cleaning schedules and proper allocation of resources (labor, supplies, equipment and time) while planning and executing for successful changeovers, sanitation weekends and daily activities.


• Enforce sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs) and master sanitation schedule (MSS); support development and maintain the sanitation manual; Understands cGMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of safe and quality product(s).


• Assisting creating and adjusting schedules for employees to prepare the plant to be audit ready every day.


• Assist managing chemical and consumable inventory levels throughout the plant daily.


• Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs), carrying out duties following cGMP and 5S practices, and being responsible for hygiene and housekeeping in a specified work area.


• Work collaboratively and cross functionally with other departments including Safety, Production, Maintenance, FSQ, HR and Logistics.

• Be 18 years of age or older


• Willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules


• Ability to work with minimal supervision


• Ability to plan work daily, work independently and be a self-starter and a highly motivated individual


• Ability to work with a team and effectively interact with other departments.


• 1 year of sanitation leadership experience in food manufacturing. 2 years of sanitation leadership experience in food manufacturing without preferred education and certifications.


• AS or BS Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or other related degree.


• Certifications for PCQI (Preventative Control Qualified Individual), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) or related Food Safety and Sanitation training courses.
