Job summary

Cérélia North America in Ohio is seeking a sanitation team member to clean and sanitize food processing equipment and facilities, following SSOPs and GMPs to ensure safe, quality foods.

The role requires English literacy, strong communication, and the ability to work 3rd shift, with lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and potential weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize food processing equipment and facilities.
• Prevent cross contamination of product during sanitation procedures.
• Follow all sanitation SOPs (SSOP) for cleaning equipment and facility.
• Perform pre-inspections of clean equipment before supervisor approval.
• Complete sanitation and SQF documentation.
• Washes and maintains cleaning carts and tools.
• Maintains sanitation equipment (floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaners).
• Performs other duties as assigned by sanitation supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes food processing equipment and food processing facilities.

• Prevent cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contactsurfacesand food contact packaging during sanitation procedures.

• Follow all company Sanitation SOPs (SSOP) for cleaning equipment andfacility.

• Perform pre- inspectionof clean equipment before requesting supervisor approval.

• Complete all required sanitation and SQF documentation.

• Washes andmaintainscleaning carts and tools.

• Maintains all sanitation related equipment including but not limited to automatic floor scrubbers, vacuums,formers, cleaning equipment and tools.

• Performs other duties as assigned by the sanitation supervisor.

Quality Assurance

• Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet SQF, regulatory, company, and customer requirements.

• Adheres to all company GMPs and Safety policies.

Health & Safety

• Follow company safety policies and practices fostering a safe workplace and environment for ourselves and our co-workers.

• Work safely with the chemicals used in the cleaning process and ensure all chemicals are used at proper concentrations following chemical handling SSOP.

• Wearappropriate personprotective equipment (PPE) whileperformcleaning tasks.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma orgeneral education degree (GED) preferred.

• Sanitation experience preferred.

• Experience leading a team

• Must be able to follow instructions in English.

• Must be able to read,writeand speak English.

• Self- Directed

• Must have strong oral and written communication skills.

• Follows all GMPs, Food Safety, SSOPs per assignments.

• Must be able to use Step ladder/Ladder

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with minimal supervision.

• Ability to work with extended periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting insafemanner.

• Ability to interact professionally with honesty and respect towards Management, coworkers.

• Required to work3rdshift, though hours may change due to demand, including weekends, or holidays.
