Job summary

Vistar is seeking a warehouse janitor for a Sun-Thu schedule, 5pm to finish. The role involves cleaning in dry, cooler and freezer areas, plus possible office duties. You will sweep, mop, dust, take out trash and use a pallet jack to move refuse, following safety rules and procedures.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 0–6 months of janitorial work. Training on hazmat-safe handling of cleaning chemicals will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate pallet jack and handle cleaning chemicals safely.

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning in warehouse areas including dry, cooler and freezer zones.

• Operate pallet jack to transport refuse to proper receptacles.

Position Summary:

Performs general janitorial, cleaning and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned. May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles. General cleaning duties include but are not limited to sweeping, dusting, mopping, trash pick up and use of compactor. May be required to work with cleaning chemicals. Follows all safety rules and completes all duties as assigned per business need.

Position Responsibilities:

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines. Reports any and all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates. Is certified to operate all required equipment.


• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pick up and related janitorial tasks.


• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.


• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.


• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.


• Performs other duties as assigned


• Complies with all policies and standards


• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

Required Experience: 0 - 6 Months; general sanitation, cleaning, and/or janitorial work experience, Pallet jack experience
