Job summary

Westrock Coffee Company is seeking a Sanitation Technologist I to coordinate cleaning of equipment and facilities and to batch industrial cleaning chemicals. You will manage sanitation programs and records to comply with regulatory, food safety, and environmental laws, reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor with no direct reports.

You will work with the Sanitation Supervisor to maintain SQF level 3 cleanliness and support continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills are required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sanitation programs and documentation are completed according to policy and guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of the production facility.

The Sanitation Technologist I will facilitate and execute the cleaning of equipment and facilities, prepare and batch industrial cleaning chemicals, and operate Sanitation Technologist programs and correctly manage cleaning records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory, food safety, and environmental laws. The candidate will work directly with Sanitation Supervisor to manage plant safety, sanitation, and continuous improvement programs to ensure that the facility is maintained at SQF level 3 standards for cleanliness. This position reports to the Sanitation Supervisor and has no direct reports.

Job Description

The Sanitation Technologist I will facilitate and execute the cleaning of equipment and facilities, prepare and batch industrial cleaning chemicals, and operate Sanitation Technologist programs and correctly manage cleaning records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory, food safety, and environmental laws. The candidate will work directly with Sanitation Supervisor to manage plant safety, sanitation, and continuous improvement programs to ensure that the facility is maintained at SQF level 3 standards for cleanliness. This position reports to the Sanitation Supervisor and has no direct reports.

Job Duties

• Ensure all sanitation, equipment and facility cleaning programs and documentation are completed according to policy and guidelines.
• Ensures the housekeeping and cleanliness of the production facility.
• Ability to use and maintain various types of cleaning equipment such as brooms, mops, floor scrubbers, buckets, scrub pads and foaming equipment.
• Monitors and reports on the inventory of CIP and other Sanitation cleaning chemicals, and other cleaning tools. Informs CIP tech, Supervisor, or Manager when additional supplies needed.
• Efficiently completes tasks and duties as outlined in the Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS).
• Performs MINOR PMs on sanitation equipment to ensure the equipment is functioning properly.
• Ensures ALL cleaning equipment including pump sprayers, foaming unit, sinks, etcetera are properly labeled.
• Complete master sanitation schedule (MSS) records in a manner to support internal and 3rd party audits to help ensure compliance.
• Reports all food safety/sanitation issues to the Sanitation and QA Supervisor.
• Collaborates with Sanitation teammates and other departments to ensure daily compliance in sanitation and help ensure guidelines are followed throughout the plant.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Manufacturing environment
• Ability to communicate effectively including speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions.
