Job summary

Westrock Coffee Company is seeking a Janitorial Technician to clean equipment and facilities, titrate cleaning chemicals, and manage sanitation programs to maintain SQF level 3 cleanliness. You will work with the Sanitation Supervisor to support safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all sanitation, equipment and facility cleaning programs, and documentation are completed according to policy and guidelines.
• Maintains the housekeeping and cleanliness of offices, conference rooms, restrooms, breakrooms, and lobby.
• Conducts required pre-op and/or post-op inspections to ensure facilities and equipment are clean.
• Keeps exterior of plant clean and trash emptied in a timely manner.
• Manages inventory of cleaning chemicals and tools to ensure adequate supplies.
• Completes tasks per the master sanitation schedule efficiently.
• Performs routine PMs on sanitation equipment to ensure proper function.
• Ensures all cleaning equipment is properly labeled.
• Assists audits of SQF and FDA systems to ensure compliance.
• Reports food safety/sanitation issues to the Sanitation and QA Supervisor.
• Collaborates with coworkers to maintain daily sanitation compliance.
• Operates required equipment as needed.

The candidate will work directly with Sanitation Supervisor to manage plant safety, sanitation, and continuous improvement programs to ensure that the facility is maintained at SQF level 3 standards for cleanliness. This position reports to the Sanitation Supervisor and has no direct reports.

Job Duties

• Ensure all sanitation, equipment and facility cleaning programs, and documentation are completed according to policy and guidelines
• Ensures the housekeeping and cleanliness of the offices, conference rooms, restrooms, breakrooms, and lobby.
• Conducts required pre-op and/or post-op inspections to ensure the facilities and equipment are clean prior to start/stop of operations
• Ensures the cleanliness the plant exterior (associate entrances, docks, dumpster areas, and QA/QC lab) and assuring trash in emptied on a timely basis
• Manages the inventory of cleaning chemicals and cleaning tools to ensure adequate supplies are always available
• Completes tasks and duties as outlined in the master sanitation schedule efficiently
• Performs routine PM's on sanitation equipment to ensure the equipment is functioning properly
• Ensures ALL cleaning equipment (pump sprayers, foaming unit, sinks, etc.) are properly labeled
• Assists and participates in internal and 3rd party audits of SQF and FDA systems to help ensure compliance
• Reports all food safety/sanitation issues to the Sanitation and QA Supervisor
• Routinely collaborates with co-workers to ensure daily compliance in sanitation and help ensure guidelines are followed throughout the plant
• Operate all required equipment as required
