Job summary

Westrock Coffee in Conway, AR seeks a Sanitation Technologist I to facilitate cleaning of equipment and facilities, prepare cleaning chemicals, and operate sanitation programs with accurate records to ensure SQF level 3 cleanliness.

You will work with the Sanitation Supervisor to manage plant safety, sanitation, and continuous improvement, ensuring documentation and labeling are maintained and audits pass successfully.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sanitation programs and documentation completed per policy and guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of production facility and equipment.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment (brooms, mops, floor scrubbers, etc.).
• Monitor CIP chemical inventory and notify supervisors when supplies are needed.
• Complete MSS records and support internal and external audits.
• Perform minor PMs on sanitation equipment and ensure proper labeling.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly labeled and tracked.
• Collaborate with teams to maintain daily sanitation compliance.
• Support other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Sanitation Technologist I will facilitate and execute the cleaning of equipment and facilities, prepare and batch industrial cleaning chemicals, and operate Sanitation Technologist programs and correctly manage cleaning records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory, food safety, and environmental laws. The candidate will work directly with Sanitation Supervisor to manage plant safety, sanitation, and continuous improvement programs to ensure that the facility is maintained at SQF level 3 standards for cleanliness. This position reports to the Sanitation Supervisor and has no direct reports.

Job Duties :

• Ensure all sanitation, equipment and facility cleaning programs and documentation are completed according to policy and guidelines.
• Ensures the housekeeping and cleanliness of the production facility.
• Ability to use and maintain various types of cleaning equipment such as brooms, mops, floor scrubbers, buckets, scrub pads and foaming equipment.
• Monitors and reports on the inventory of CIP and other Sanitation cleaning chemicals, and other cleaning tools. Informs CIP tech, Supervisor, or Manager when additional supplies needed.
• Efficiently completes tasks and duties as outlined in the Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS).
• Performs MINOR PMs on sanitation equipment to ensure the equipment is functioning properly.
• Ensures ALL cleaning equipment including pump sprayers, foaming unit, sinks, etcetera are properly labeled.
• Complete master sanitation schedule (MSS) records in a manner to support internal and 3rd party audits to help ensure compliance.
• Reports all food safety/sanitation issues to the Sanitation and QA Supervisor.
• Collaborates with Sanitation teammates and other departments to ensure daily compliance in sanitation and help ensure guidelines are followed throughout the plant.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Manufacturing environment
• Ability to communicate effectively including speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions.
• Good leadership and training skills

• Ability to collaborate with all parts of the operation to achieve goals and objectives.
