Job summary

S&D Coffee in Conway, AR is seeking a Sanitation Technologist I to lead cleaning of equipment and facilities, prepare and batch cleaning chemicals, and maintain sanitation programs compliant with SQF level 3 standards.

You will collaborate with the Sanitation Supervisor, document cleaning records, monitor supplies, perform minor PMs, and help sustain a safe, clean, and productive plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all sanitation, equipment and facility cleaning programs and documentation are completed according to policy and guidelines.
• Ensure the housekeeping and cleanliness of the production facility.
• Use and maintain cleaning equipment such as brooms, mops, floor scrubbers, buckets, scrub pads and foaming equipment.
• Monitor and report inventory of CIP and other cleaning chemicals and tools; inform supervisors when supplies are needed.
• Complete master sanitation schedule (MSS) records to support audits.
• Perform minor PMs on sanitation equipment to keep it functioning properly.
• Label all cleaning equipment including pumps, foaming units, sinks, etc.
• Report food safety/sanitation issues to the Sanitation and QA Supervisor.
• Collaborate with teammates and other departments to ensure daily sanitation compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Sanitation Technologist I will facilitate and execute the cleaning of equipment and facilities, prepare and batch industrial cleaning chemicals, and operate Sanitation Technologist programs and correctly manage cleaning records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory, food safety, and environmental laws. The candidate will work directly with Sanitation Supervisor to manage plant safety, sanitation, and continuous improvement programs to ensure that the facility is maintained at SQF level 3 standards for cleanliness. This position reports to the Sanitation Supervisor and has no direct reports.

Job Duties

• Ensure all sanitation, equipment and facility cleaning programs and documentation are completed according to policy and guidelines.
• Ensures the housekeeping and cleanliness of the production facility.
• Ability to use and maintain various types of cleaning equipment such as brooms, mops, floor scrubbers, buckets, scrub pads and foaming equipment.
• Monitors and reports on the inventory of CIP and other Sanitation cleaning chemicals, and other cleaning tools. Informs CIP tech, Supervisor, or Manager when additional supplies needed.
• Efficiently completes tasks and duties as outlined in the Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS).
• Performs MINOR PMs on sanitation equipment to ensure the equipment is functioning properly.
• Ensures ALL cleaning equipment including pump sprayers, foaming unit, sinks, etcetera are properly labeled.
• Complete master sanitation schedule (MSS) records in a manner to support internal and 3rd party audits to help ensure compliance.
• Reports all food safety/sanitation issues to the Sanitation and QA Supervisor.
• Collaborates with Sanitation teammates and other departments to ensure daily compliance in sanitation and help ensure guidelines are followed throughout the plant.
