Job summary

Operation Support Inc. in California is seeking a sanitation-focused worker to maintain cleanliness and safety on the production floor. Responsibilities include following food safety policies, equipment cleaning, and documenting tasks on sanitation checklists.

You will wear PPE, operate to time-sensitive standards, and collaborate with team members to clean and sanitize surfaces, conveyors, floors, and non-food areas. Flexibility and the ability to work in a cold environment are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to perform tasks under strict time limits.
• Willingness to work in a cold environment.

• Able to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Food Safety, Food Quality and Food Security Policies.
• Report any equipment failure to the Sanitation Manager/Supervisor.
• Set up and tear down production equipment as needed to perform specific cleaning applications.
• Use chemicals to clean and sanitize food contact and non-food contact surfaces.
• Inspect all equipment before releasing the line to the Sanitation Manager / Supervisor for inspection.
• Responsible for documentation of job tasks performed on sanitation checklist.
• Must wear protective equipment and follow all safety procedures (PPE’s).
• Use basic cleaning hands tools to ensure proper and safe cleaning of conveyor belts, floors/walls, trash dock, and other areas of the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
