Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a sanitation team member to clean and sanitize equipment, areas, and facilities across poultry processing operations. You will follow detailed sanitation procedures and safety guidelines to uphold food safety and quality standards.

This fast-paced role requires reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork, with a base hourly rate of $20.35 and a $1.00 shift differential for 2nd shift. Benefits begin after 60 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience: Poultry, food industry, or manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Skills: Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment, good communication, ability to comprehend instructions and apply common sense, strong attention to detail, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and work areas according to USDA, food safety, and company sanitation standards.
• Prepare, mix, and apply cleaning chemicals following PPE and safety requirements.
• Inspect equipment and areas after sanitation to ensure cleanliness and report issues promptly.
• Maintain an organized, safe work environment by removing debris, rinsing surfaces, and proper storage of tools and chemicals.
• Collaborate with team members to complete sanitation tasks efficiently and support a safety-focused environment.
• Follow detailed sanitation procedures, SOPs, and all safety, food safety, and biosecurity guidelines.
• Perform additional sanitation duties as needed to support production readiness and meet goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
