Job summary

Pilgrim’s is hiring for a sanitation position to help maintain cleanliness, safety, and food quality in our poultry processing plant. You will clean equipment, prepare chemicals, and ensure compliance with USDA and company sanitation standards.

The role requires reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. The job offers a base hourly rate with a shift differential for 2nd/3rd shifts and attendance incentives.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience: Sanitation experience preferred; experience with chemicals is a plus.
• Skills: Able to multitask, communicate well, follow instructions, and work as part of a team.
• Physical: Able to lift 40 lbs and work in a refrigerated environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and work areas according to standards.
• Prepare, mix, and apply cleaning chemicals following PPE and safety rules.
• Inspect areas after sanitation and report issues or hazards promptly.
• Maintain an organized, safe work environment and proper storage of tools.
• Collaborate with teammates to complete sanitation tasks efficiently.
• Follow SOPs and all safety, food safety, and biosecurity guidelines.
• Perform additional sanitation duties as needed to support production readiness.
