Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking a sanitation associate at the Moses Lake Production Campus. The role focuses on keeping food surfaces and processing equipment in a sanitary condition within the assigned area.

The position requires standing for long periods, ability to work in extreme environments, and adherence to safety and SOPs. Training and PPE are provided to support sanitation goals and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to stand on concrete floors for long periods.
• Ability to understand basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.
• Must be able to distinguish colors.
• Must be able to work in extreme environments: noise, hot, cold, wet and slick floors.
• Must be able to work with and around hazardous chemicals wearing appropriate PPE.
• Must have manual dexterity in both hands for valves, hoses and lifting.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull heavy barrels up to 450 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensures no injuries by following safe work practices and SOPs.
• Records chemical usage in the Chemical Log.
• Transports chemicals safely by hand cart.
• Performs cleaning duties regularly.
• Performs periodic testing and documentation of foaming and sanitizing solution.
• Assists with training to ensure proper sanitation.
• Maintains OSHA forklift truck certificates.
• Attends training activities and applies new skills.
• Ensures compliance with company policies.
• Interfaces with team members to support operational goals.
