Job summary

Nemacolin Woodlands Resort is seeking a Sanitation Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning resort environment. Responsibilities

  • Safely collect, transport, and dispose of garbage across resort facilities and operational areas.
  • Properly separate recyclable materials (glass, paper, plastic) per procedures.
  • Operate trash compactors and other assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work independently across assigned locations and manage daily sanitation tasks.
  • Identify equipment issues and perform basic repairs or component replacements when qualified.
  • Support Engineering Department operations (snow removal, rotating assignments, and other property-wide tasks) as directed.

The Sanitation Technician at Nemacolin assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning resort environment through dependable waste management and property support. This role is responsible for the safe collection, transportation, separation, and disposal of waste across resort facilities on and off the property while operating equipment responsibly and responding to changing operational needs. It offers an opportunity to build practical experience in resort operations while developing the reliability, safety awareness, and hands‑on skills valued across the Engineering Team.

What You Will Create
  • A clean and well-maintained resort environment by safely collecting, transporting, and disposing of garbage from designated facilities and operational areas across the property
  • Responsible waste management practices by properly separating recyclable materials, including glass, paper, and plastic, and following established environmental and disposal procedures
  • Safe and efficient daily operations by operating trash compactors and other assigned equipment appropriately, maintaining awareness of equipment condition, and following established safety practices
  • Consistent operational coverage by working independently across assigned locations, organizing daily responsibilities, and completing sanitation needs efficiently and thoroughly
  • Functional sanitation equipment by identifying equipment issues and performing basic repairs or component replacement with appropriate hand and power tools when qualified to do so
  • A responsive Engineering Department operation by supporting snow removal, rotating assignments, and other property-wide responsibilities as directed by leadership
  • A dependable partnership with the Engineering Team through effective communication, responsible care of resort property, and a willingness to support changing operational priorities
