Job description

We are currently looking for a Sanitation Technician to join our team! $2,000 Sign on BONUS!

Shift Hours: 5:50AM-6:00PM on a Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule

Pay rate: $21.00

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining a sanitary environment necessary for the production of safe and legal products. This includes organizing, maintaining, and operating a sanitary process environment to optimize production and minimize food safety risks, and managing pest populations to minimize potential for product adulteration and/or contamination.

A Taste of the Job:

  • Ensuring that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) guidelines are adhered to.
  • Washing all plant equipment as required.
  • Knowing what safety equipment is needed to perform specific job tasks and what chemicals are used for cleaning.
  • Following all aspects of the Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) program.
  • Knowing where the MSDS is located and how to read them.
  • Maintaining a sanitary work environment inside and out.
  • Communicating with other departments to prioritize the sanitation schedule.
  • Collecting cardboard, trash, plastic, and wastewater.
  • Working in a team environment to decrease production downtime.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment for the team and notifying the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager of any safety issues.
  • Ensuring all finished goods are properly labeled and staged for shipping.
  • Maintaining an accurate and detailed operator’s log.

Path for Success:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to communicate and understand verbal directions effectively and efficiently in English, both verbal and written.
  • Basic math and computer skills desirable.
  • Must be able to stand for 12 hours.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
