Job summary

Oak Farms Dairy in Texas is seeking a reliable sanitation associate to maintain a clean and safe production area. You will perform cleaning per the Master Sanitation Schedule, inspect PPE, and ensure labels and logs are accurate.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and logs accurately and promptly.
• Ensure chemical containers are properly labeled and legible.
• Inspect PPE and replace damaged equipment as needed.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with health regulations.
• Follow GMP guidelines and company food-safety standards.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

Job description

Guarantee proper sanitizing of production area and equipment. Maintain a safe, quality, and sanitary plant operation while adhering to all sanitation guidelines and following all established procedures.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform cleaning procedures required by the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and other required duties to maintain assigned areas and equipment sanitary and clean
• Clean floor drains, hand wash sinks, overheads, production trash cans, equipment ledges, etc.
• Complete work orders and logs accurately and in a timely manner
• Ensure all chemical containers have proper and legible labels on them
• Inspect personal protective equipment (PPE) used for cleaning and report or replace any damaged equipment
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years of sanitation or related experience
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment

• Able to operate production equipment, components, and peripheral accessories
• Able to effectively work in a team environment
