Job summary

Conagra Brands is hiring for a 3rd shift sanitation role in Macomb, MI, with an hourly rate of $18.00 plus $1.00 shift differential. This position runs Monday through Friday 6:00 PM–2:30 AM, with some Saturdays based on business needs.

You will support sanitation of equipment, assist overnight smokehouse operations, and help maintain food safety and production readiness at the Macomb facility. Previous manufacturing sanitation experience and basic computer skills are required.

• 1+ years of manufacturing, sanitation, or related industrial experience.
• Knowledge of plant safety practices, sanitation procedures, and waste disposal methods.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and information tracking.

Responsibilities

• Support the cleanliness of plant equipment and help maintain sanitation and food safety standards.
• Use high-pressure, high-temperature water hoses and approved cleaning chemicals.
• Prepare production equipment for cleaning by following Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Complete routine and deep-cleaning tasks according to the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Support overnight Smokehouse Operators by moving trucks and handling temperatures.
• Complete required safety, food safety, and operational training; document work activities.

Job description

Shift: 6:00 PM-2:30 AM Hourly Rate: $18.00 an hour + $1.00 shift differential Reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor, you will help prepare and sanitize equipment used to produce Duke’s Meat Snacks products and support overnight smokehouse operations at our Macomb, Michigan manufacturing facility. You will join a team of approximately 50 employees and play an important role in maintaining food safety, sanitation, and production readiness. This is a 3rd shift position working Monday through Friday from 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM, with some Saturdays based on business needs.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

Support the cleanliness of plant equipment and help maintain sanitation and food safety standards. Use high-pressure, high-temperature water hoses and approved cleaning chemicals to complete sanitation activities. Prepare production equipment for cleaning by following Lockout/Tagout procedures. Complete routine and deep-cleaning tasks according to the Master Sanitation Schedule, including smokehouses, breakrooms, offices, and other facility areas. Support overnight Smokehouse Operators by moving trucks, loading and unloading ovens, and taking product temperatures. Complete required monthly safety, food safety, and operational training assignments. Use computer systems to document work activities and support continuous improvement initiatives. Work independently to complete assigned projects and daily responsibilities. Participate in plant safety initiatives and serve on safety teams as needed.

Physical Requirements

Please be aware that in a manufacturing environment, the noise levels can be high and the temperatures may vary. Depending on the role, physical and environmental requirements can differ but include: Being on your feet, walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time. Performing consistent repetitive tasks. Frequently lifting, pushing or carrying materials.
