Litehouse Foods in Danville, VA is hiring a Sanitation Technician I to maintain cleanliness and food safety across multiple production areas. You will sanitize containers, tanks, and equipment, while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety policies.

The role includes shift work with differential pay for 2nd and 3rd shifts and requires strong communication, safety literacy, and mechanical aptitude to support continuous production in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents.
• Mechanical aptitude for equipment cleaning and sanitation tasks.
• Basic math for accurate measurement and documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize food storage containers, tanks, and production equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in multiple facility areas.
• Operate cleaning tools and equipment using chemicals and water systems.
• Inspect completed sanitation tasks to ensure compliance with standards.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Adhere to food safety policies and report any safety or quality concerns.
• Contribute to overall facility cleanliness and sanitation.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed to support production demands.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Location: Danville, VA
Shift: 2.2.3 Days 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Starting Pay: $19.00/hr
Additional Pay: 2nd shift is $1.50/hr, 3rd/D/C Shift is $3/hr
