Job summary

Litehouse Foods in Hurricane, UT is hiring a Machine Tech I (Operator) to operate and maintain production machinery. The role includes setup, changeovers, washes, and ensuring products meet quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Starting pay is $18.77/hour with additional $3/hour diffs for 3rd shift and C shift. 100% employee-owned company with strong benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or strongly preferred.
• Mechanical inclination and ability to learn production equipment.
• Experience operating a single production machine is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and lead key machinery, striving for efficient output of quality products.
• Set up, operate and adjust machinery.
• Perform changeovers and washes that meet or exceed specifications.
• Maintain food safety policies and report concerns to supervisor.
• Ensure products meet customer and quality requirements.
• Perform basic maintenance/troubleshooting and keep equipment in good working order.
• Keep the work area clean and maintain housekeeping throughout the facility.

Shift: 223A, 223B (6am-6pm) 223C (6pm-6am) 3rd (10pm-6am)
Starting Pay: $18.77/hr
Additional Pay: 3rd $3 hr, C shift $3 hr

The Machine Technician I operates a minimum of one production machine in an area or department and performs basic preventative machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

What You'll Do

• Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor.

• Perform basic maintenance/controls, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.


• Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor.


• Maintains clean work area and participates in housekeep throughout the facility and grounds.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma/GED Strongly Preferred.


• Mechanically inclined preferred.


• Fully trained and experienced in the operation of one production machine as defined at each plant and/or equivalent work experience.


• Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas professionally, effectively and efficiently in the common language.


• Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.


• Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


• Must be able to frequently work overtime and weekends as necessary.


• Must be able to work scheduled shifts and meet attendance requirements.
