Job summary

Idahoan Foods is seeking a Sanitation Technician to clean and sanitize floors and facility equipment on a scheduled basis. You will maintain cleanliness on production and packaging areas, follow MSS instructions, and assist with production when needed.

Training pay starts at $20.75 per hour and increases to $21.50 after successful validation, with further potential increase per the validation program. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working around manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Able to read and comprehend work related material such as Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
• Exhibits effective oral communication skills when communicating with supervisor and co-workers.
• Reads, comprehends, and performs the cleaning instructions for each piece of equipment as required.
• Shows ability to perform heavy lifting up to 60 lbs.
• Follows all safety precautions and uses PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness on production and packaging equipment and work areas.
• Eliminates garbage, debris and waste on floors and equipment.
• Perform duties with efficiency and accuracy while working independently and professionally.
• May assist with a production position under special circumstances.
• Follow chemical label instructions and safety statements.
