Job summary

Idahoan Foods, LLC in Idaho Falls seeks a Sanitation Technician in Training (12 Hour Days shift). This entry-level role starts at a training pay rate of $20.75 per hour and moves to $21.50 once validation is complete.

You will clean floors and equipment, follow Master Sanitation Schedules, read chemical labels, and wear required PPE. The job requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and willingness to work varying shifts, including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working around manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend MSS and other work-related material.
• Effective oral communication and teamwork.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand on concrete floors.
• Willingness to work different shifts and be flexible.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an acceptable level of cleanliness on all production and packaging equipment and work areas.
• Eliminates garbage, debris and waste on the floor or on the manufacturing equipment.
• Able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy while working independently and professionally.
• May be called upon to help with a production position under special circumstances.
• Must be able to read and follow chemical labels and review SDSs to obtain appropriate hazard information and safety statements.
• Must be able to follow mixing instructions for chemicals used in cleaning and sanitizing of equipment.
• Able to scrub equipment if needed to clean with scrub pads, brushes etc. Must assist in disassembly of equipment for cleaning and assist with reassembly when finished.
• Able to be trained in the Lockout and Tagout program to be an Authorized person.
• Must work any shift for cleanup and startup, may include holidays, and weekends.
• Must be able to use good judgment in the absence of the Lead or Supervisor.
• Must be able to learn and understand Master Sanitation Schedules.
• All other duties as assigned.
