Job Title: Sanitation Lead
Job Description

Oversee the sanitation processes and manage sanitation employees within the facility, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of sanitation workers.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and quality assurance standards.
• Implement and maintain pest control and hygienic design protocols.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the QA team to support quality systems and processes.

Essential Skills

• 3 years of experience in sanitation within a food manufacturing environment.
• 1 year of experience in a leadership role.
• Knowledge in Sanitation, Hygienic Design, Pest Control, HACCP, Microbiology, Chemical Safety, and Quality Systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Biology and/or Environmental Monitoring experience.
• Familiarity with FDA, USDA, EPA, and OHSA regulations.
• Experience with SQF and/or GFSI standards.
• Proficiency in English and/or bilingual communication skills.

Work Environment

This role operates in a union plant with a 12-hour night shift schedule (7pm-7am). Training will be provided on a 1st shift schedule, typically 8-hour days, with potential additional hours. The team consists of six members, including one sanitation tech and one manager. The role requires physical activities such as climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, carrying items weighing up to 20 lbs, and working in high or confined locations. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $66288.00 - $66288.00/yr.
