Job summary

Sandridge Crafted Foods in Medina, OH is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to lead the sanitation team and uphold peak food safety standards. You will plan schedules, train staff, and coordinate activities to ensure clean facilities and compliant operations across shifts.

You will drive sanitation programs, monitor chemical usage, support audits, and collaborate with production and quality teams to keep sanitation on schedule and production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a related bachelor’s is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in a food manufacturing or sanitation environment.
• Familiarity with GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, SQF.
• Strong leadership history in training and developing a team.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to food safety and cleanliness.
• Solid understanding of sanitation chemicals, concentrations, and application methods.
• Ability to safely operate sanitation equipment (pressure washers, foamers, scrubbers).
• Comfortable navigating sanitation tracking systems (e.g., CMMS).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage sanitation processes to maintain cleanliness, food safety, and efficiency.
• Supervise and support a team of sanitation personnel with hands-on guidance and training.
• Develop and monitor sanitation schedules for proper cleaning of equipment and facilities.
• Identify root causes of contamination and help the team resolve issues.
• Coordinate sanitation activities to minimize production disruption while staying compliant.
• Ensure safe use, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals per guidelines.
• Maintain accurate sanitation activity documentation and chemical usage records.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and leadership across shifts to stay on schedule.
• Provide hands-on support on the production floor when needed.
• Support environmental monitoring programs and corrective actions.
