Job summary

Tyson Foods in Waterloo, NY is seeking a sanitation supervisor to lead daily cleaning operations in a food production facility. You will oversee sanitation staff and contractors, ensure compliance with GMPs and food safety standards, and coordinate with QA, R&D, and maintenance to optimize sanitation processes.

We value candidates with 2+ years in food manufacturing sanitation, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and HACCP familiarity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience in the food industry; sanitation experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
• HACCP certification preferred.
• Able to read MSDS and procedure manuals; able to write reports.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises day-to-day sanitation of plant equipment and facilities to meet safety standards.
• Ensures team and contractor compliance with policies; maintains sanitation quality.
• Develops cleaning procedures and logs; oversees third-party sanitation workers.
• Coordinates with R&D, QA, and maintenance on sanitation issues and improvements.
• Maintains Master Sanitation Schedule and ensures safety compliance.
