Job summary

OSI Group in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced sanitation supervisor to manage and coordinate food safety and sanitation programs in a processing plant. You will lead sanitation staff, ensure GMP/SSOP/HACCP compliance, and partner with QA and Plant Management to meet USDA requirements.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of food production sanitation experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP and USDA/industry requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to document and report clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule department work to ensure a clean and sanitary plant.
• Support General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives and GMPs as priority.
• Estimate manpower requirements and select qualified employees.
• Assign employees and instruct proper procedures for quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all established policies; initiate discipline as needed.
• Prepare and maintain Master Sanitation Schedule, logs and documentation.
• Recommend improvements to procedures, policies, and standards.
• Train crew leaders to supervise in absence or promotion.
• Create an environment encouraging creativity and process improvement.
• Collaborate with Plant Management and QA to meet USDA requirements.
• Purchase sanitation supplies and maintain inventory.
• Work with USDA to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Follow safety procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
