Job summary

Ferrero is hiring a sanitation professional for its Kentucky plant. The role focuses on cleaning and sanitizing manufacturing areas and equipment, following the master sanitation schedule, and maintaining related records.

The job requires the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, with PPE as required and temperature extremes encountered in a production environment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of sanitation experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of full-time sanitation experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitation duties for plant equipment and areas.
• Set up and perform CIP cleaning operations and reassemble equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for PEC cleaning as needed.
• Maintain accurate written sanitation records and reports.
• Follow Master Sanitation Schedule and Sanitation Lead instructions.
• Use PPE such as gloves, boots, fall protection or respirator; may wear full body harness.

About the Role

Performs a variety of cleaning/sanitation duties and responsibilities for the plant.

Main Responsibilities

• Requires working in enclosed /confined spaces - must be able to obtain a confined space authorized certification
• Requires working at heights equal to plant ceilings and exterior silos Climbing ladders and stairs.
• Requires working in temperature extremes, hot and cold, indoor and outdoors
• Setting up, performing CIP (clean in place) cleaning operations, and reassembly of equipment
• Must be able to disassemble and reassemble equipment for PEC (periodic equipment cleaning) cleaning
• Responsible for keeping accurate written records and required to complete reports
• Performs cleaning and sanitation activities as determined by the Master Sanitation Schedule and/or Sanitation Lead and/or Sanitation Program Manager.
• As assigned, must use personal protective equipment, such as gloves, boots, fall protection or respirator. Often works wearing a full body harness, tied off with safety lines (retractable lifelines.)
• Mechanical Aptitude is required
