Job summary

The Anderson-DuBose Company in Jefferson City, TN is seeking a reliable Sanitation associate to maintain the cleanliness of our warehouse per company standards. Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, cleaning under and around racks, and partner coordination with the Transportation and Warehouse teams.

You will lift 50 lbs, operate a scissor lift and an electric pallet jack as needed, and contribute to a fast-paced, 24/7 environment while following safety guidelines and policies.

Qualifications

• Education – High school diploma or GED.
• Experience – 1-2 years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more, follow safety guidelines, and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, detail work under and around racks.
• Handle damaged cases, cleaning supplies, wrapping and cardboard.
• Use of a scissor lift for cleaning debris from racking.
• Operate an electrical pallet jack to navigate the warehouse and collect garbage/recyclables.
• Handle warehouse spills and maintain safety.
• Extremely fast-paced work environment; other duties may be assigned.

Opportunity Summary

The Sanitation position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the building / warehouse according to company standards. Daily duties will be performed both individually and collectively as a team.

How you will make contributions that matter

• Sweeping, mopping, detail work (cleaning underneath and wiping racks).
• Handling damaged cases, cleaning supplies, gathering wrap and cardboard.
• Use of a scissor lift for cleaning debris out of racking.
• Utilizing an electrical pallet jack to navigate around the warehouse to gather garbage and recyclables.
• Handle warehouse spills.
• Extremely faced paced work environment.
• Other duties may be assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Education – High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Experience – 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Other Required Skills or Abilities – Physical strength and fitness, the ability to lift 50lbs or more at a time, knowledge of proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, following safety guidelines, strong time management skills to meet deadlines and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
