Job summary

Bob Evans Farms, Inc. is seeking a Production Lead to oversee a dedicated production line within our facility in the United States. You will manage safety, quality, and efficiency while coordinating start-ups, changeovers, and daily production targets.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong knowledge of GMP/SQF, and experience with ERP systems to ensure accurate data and timely reporting. You will collaborate with maintenance, quality, and HR to support a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of safety procedures and compliance.
• Knowledge of GMP and SQF principles relevant to production.
• Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement exposure.
• Ability to use data tracking and reporting tools.
• Familiar with Oracle/RedZone and work-order systems.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and supports a proactive safety environment with timely hazard reporting.
• Verifies quality checks and ensures accurate records.
• Executes daily production schedule and manages room performance.
• Leads start-up and change-over activities following SOPs.
• Monitors equipment and workflow to identify downtime in real time.
• Records downtime events with accurate timestamps and notes for follow-ups.
• Escalates unresolved issues per escalation process.
• Works with maintenance, quality, and supervisors on fixes and improvements.
• Trains current employees and coordinates onboarding with HR.
• Maintains production paperwork accuracy and completes required reports.
• Operates machinery and sets proper machine parameters.
• Performs sanitation duties in the room.
• Acts as a backup lead when needed.
