Job summary

Maker's Pride in Carol Stream, IL seeks a Sanitation Lead I to follow SOPs and clean production equipment, ensuring safety, hygiene and food safety.

You will record sanitation activities, update the supervisor, monitor supplies and assist with COP/CIP procedures; English proficiency required; Spanish a plus.

Starting pay is $21.00/hr with a 3rd shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, paid holidays and 401k.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write in basic English; Spanish is a plus.
• At least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.
• Supervisory skills are desired.
• Must have some Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Follows procedures to sanitize idle production equipment.
• Record sanitation activities and report progress to supervisor.
• Advise supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
• Familiarity with COP and CIP systems; refractometers a plus.

Job Summary

Follows procedures and SOPs to perform cleaning on production equipment to ensure safety, hygiene, and food safety. May record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues. Advises/updates supervisor/manager of progress and or other non-routine issues.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Follows established procedures in the cleaning and sanitation of idle production equipment.
• Completes required reporting to reflect activity.
• Advises supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
• Familiarity and understanding of testing for chemical concentrations.
• Familiarity with COP and CIP systems.
• Familiarity with refractometers a plus

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; at least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.
• Supervisory skills are desired.
• Must have some Microsoft Office skills.

Work Environment

• Multi-shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid and vary in temperature from refrigerated environment, ambient or warm in summer months depending on facility.

Starting Pay: Sanitation Lead I $21.00/hr., a shift differential is offered for 3rd shift opportunities. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the 90th day of employment.
