Job summary

Old Wisconsin Sausage seeks a hands-on technician to disassemble, clean, sanitize, reassemble and test the line seven scaling and feeding system before the first shift. Responsibilities include cleaning the Triangle system and conveyors, with other duties as assigned to ensure a clean, safe production line.

Must have a high school diploma or GED with up to 3 months related experience; training for scissor lift and sanitation chemicals is provided.

  • Ability to use a scissor lift (training provided by OWS).
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
  • Capable of lifting and moving heavy items as part of duties.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary:

Disassemble, clean, sanitize, reassemble and test-run all elements of the line seven scaling and feeding system prior to the first shift start up.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Disassembly of the Triangle system.
  • Cleaning of the Triangle scale system.
  • Reassembly of the Triangle system.
  • Cleaning of the "steep" conveyor.
  • Cleaning of the Urschel slicer.
  • Cleaning of the "Z" conveyor.
  • Other duties as assigned (to be done on nights when the Triangle system does not have to be cleaned).
  • Take responsibility in your work to produce a safe and quality food product. Report all food safety and quality related problems to your supervisor, manager, or to the QA department to initiate immediate action.
