Job summary

JBS Foods in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a Sanitation Hourly-3rd shift worker responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production areas, and completing mandatory safety and GMP training.

The role requires ability to stand for long periods, work in extreme temperatures, and operate with chemicals using PPE; prior meat processing or manufacturing experience preferred; EOE.

Qualifications

• Meat processing or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, crawl for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures with frequent exposure to moving machinery, hot water and slippery floors.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive hand scrubbing and hose work.
• Must be able to work with multiple chemicals with proper training and PPE.

Reporting to: Sanitation Supervisor

Essential Job Functions:

Cleaning and sanitizing production areas

Complete mandatory safety training as outlined for the job assignment.

Complete mandatory food safety/GMP training as outlined for the job assignment.

Experience/Skills/Abilities:

• Previous experience in a meat processing plant or similar manufacturing setting preferred.
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, crawl for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures with frequent exposure to moving machinery, hot water and slippery floors.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive motion work in hand scrubbing and running a hose.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to work with multiple chemicals with proper training and personal protective equipment.
