Job summary

Emerald Isle Foods is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to lead sanitation across production and warehouse facilities. The role requires hands-on supervision and active participation on the production floor, with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing sanitation programs, be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of coaching a team to uphold high sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FDA/USDA regulations.
• Experience with sanitation chemicals and cleaning procedures.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, Excel).
• Ability to lift 50-60 lbs.
• Ability to work in a cold environment around 35°F.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily sanitation activities across plant, warehouse, and grounds.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop sanitation team members; provide feedback.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, HARPC, FDA, and OSHA regulations.
• Develop and monitor sanitation procedures and pest control programs.
• Maintain sanitation records, training, and verification logs.
• Assist in audits, walk-throughs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
