Publix Super Markets in Lakeland, FL is hiring for a Maintenance & Equipment position in Manufacturing. The role involves disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing and reassembling equipment, applying chemicals, and ensuring clean work areas across production zones.

You will operate a forklift, help with sanitation, stock chemical storage, assist other departments, and maintain floors, walls and drains while meeting GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must meet GMP and safety standards.
• Must be able to lift in excess of 30 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to push or pull heavy equipment.
• Must be able to operate a forklift (license required).
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have good attendance and punctuality.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work as a team.

Responsibilities

• Disassembling and cleaning, sanitizing and reassembling all detachable production equipment.
• Applying chemicals on equipment and in environmental locations.
• Organizing and cleaning of kitchen, trash dock, and storage areas.
• Transporting racks, tubs, cardboard, and equipment with forklift/pallet jack.
• Maintaining cleanliness of walls, vents, doors, drains, and garbage cans.
• Coordinating with multiple departments to meet sanitation needs.
• Rinsing out all empty drums and assisting with chemical storage area maintenance.
• Operating and maintaining floor scrubber; assisting with housekeeping duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
